I am comfortable with blogger so despite their little glitches every now and then I chose to stay blogger....but I chose to drop the "blogspot" from my address. It was like shedding 10 pounds...lol.Richele McFarlinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14778804579496946142noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5285189315308720995.post-58392237164755912672011-06-24T07:00:17.785-04:002011-06-24T07:00:17.785-04:00Dropping the blogspot for a .com was easy to do bu...Dropping the blogspot for a .com was easy to do but not an easy choice. Google makes the move painless. Everything is forwarded over for you, like mail when you move.
Picking the right domain name was the biggest challenge for me. I decided to just stay with mine. Thankfully it wasn't taken!
Switching to Wordpress didn't seem like it had any benefit for my blog.Deb @ Focused on the Magichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14039375851545389392noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5285189315308720995.post-60078501767850734332011-06-23T23:48:15.579-04:002011-06-23T23:48:15.579-04:00It was very easy to do, Heidi. That was the only template work I had to do with the switch. Everything else was finding out where I had the blogspot address to change it.

Eventually, I would still like to switch to a self hosted Wordpress Blog. But, it's not in the budget to do that right now. That would also be extremely time intensive, since I know very little about html and I would be learning as I would be going along. Meaning readers dont have to resubscribe to your blog, etc. To me, it helped create more of a personal identity not using the .blogspot address...The World of Deejhttp://www.theworldofdeej.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5285189315308720995.post-41863861218777341822011-06-23T09:51:56.240-04:002011-06-23T09:51:56.240-04:00I think....people already know you through your cu...I think....people already know you through your current name...if you can stick with it...do so!
