Despite the fact that it feels like a Monday at my house (due to yesterday’s holiday), it’s a Tuesday – and time for another Trip Report . . .
Continuing on in our journey through World Showcase, we just “happened upon” a perfect character meet & greet opportunity. Lots of characters, no lines! That doesn’t happen often at Disney, so we took advantage of it.
Because Canada is usually our last stop, we normally miss so much of this beautiful pavilion, just because we’re tired or whatever. This time, we took our time and explored a bit. I’m glad we did.
In the U.K. pavilion, we met Pooh & Tigger and Mary Poppins.
In France, we met the adorable and cuddly Marie, from Aristocats (or “Alley Stone Cats” as it’s known in our house – that’s what Gracie used to call it!)
Gracie spotted some Hidden Mickeys in Morocco.
We enjoyed watching the fish and the drummers in Japan (the concentration of these ladies is nothing short of amazing!)
We indulged in some caramel goodness at Karamel Kuche in Germany.
We were much too tired to stay for IllumiNations. So, we headed back through Future World and into one of our all-time favorite shops – Mouse Gears. Ian used part of his gift card money to buy a Duffy bear and a Lightning McQueen outfit. (Duffy clothes were 3 for $30 – so Gracie got 2 new outfits for her Duffy – a Pirate one and a French one.)
We split 3 meals at the Electric Umbrella for supper – then headed back to Port Orleans Riverside to turn in early. The kids were thrilled to find their animals anxiously awaiting them on the beds!
Stay tuned – next Tuesday, we’ll move on to Day 3 of our trip and our visit to Hollywood Studios.

Very cool that you ran into all of those characters. I love those kinds of Disney moments. :)
