“A dream is a wish your heart makes
when you're fast asleep.
In dreams you will lose your heartaches.
Whatever you wish for, you keep.
Have faith in your dreams, and someday,
your rainbow will come smiling through.
No matter how your heart is grieving,
if you keep on believing,
the dream that you wish will come true.”
~Cinderella
I love Cinderella! I must say, she is consistently one of my kids’ favorite princesses to interact with when we’re visiting Disney. On our trip in January, she got right down on Ian’s level and, as you can see in the picture above, he was quite taken with her.
When I chose the quote for this week’s Destination Disney, I wasn’t thinking about writing this post, or exactly what I’d say as far as what this quote means to me. I’ve read over it several times over the past week. While I certainly don’t believe in the fairy tale mentality that everything that we wish for will come true, I find that this quote ties in rather nicely with the sermon that we heard on Sunday, based on Matthew 7:7:
“Ask, and it will be given to you;
seek, and you will find;
knock, and it will be opened to you.”
While it may seem silly to compare a fairy tale to Scripture, I do believe that if we are putting our faith and trust in God, we will one day have our “happily ever after”. And, in the end, this life – with it’s trials and hardships – will all be worth it!
What are your thoughts on this quote? Please do share them on your blog, then go to this post and link up! (You don’t even have to be a Disney lover to participate in this meme!)

Love the quote and Cinderella!
Such a beautiful quote and from a favorite princess of mine too:)
fabulous take on that quote! I completely agree with all you said... I don't believe in the "everything you wish for will come true" mentality, but I do like a good fairy tale! :) Matthew7:7 is perfect too. Put your faith and trust in God and everything will work out in the end!! Amen Sista!
