2010 Gratitude Challenge – November 3

2010GratitudeChallengeButton Today is Gracie’s violin ensemble class.  It reminds me that I’m very thankful for the 2 music teachers that she has.

Her piano teacher is the daughter of one of my mom’s best friends (since grade school).  She has been an excellent piano teacher for Gracie over the past several years.  Gracie loves her lessons and never  complains about practicing.

When she decided, last year, that she’d like to (finally!) try the violin as well, her piano teacher referred us to the violin teacher that her children take lessons from AND offered us the use of a 3/4 violin.

We are just thrilled with Gracie’s violin teacher now.  Gracie continues to use the borrowed violin as well – which has been a huge blessing.  These are two very special ladies who are playing a very important role in Gracie’s life.

We are praying for a possible voice teacher for Ashley – we’ve made a contact and are awaiting confirmation at this time.

Music is an important part of our lives, and I love when my house is filled with the music that my children are making!  In addition to Gracie’s piano and violin, Ashley also plays the guitar and Ian LOVES to sing!

I love the way God orchestrates my children's teachers. He has been faithful to put adults into their lives who build them up and teach them life lessons as well as academic ones. Sounds like you've found that for Gracie.

Isn't it amazing to see how God pulls people together? I always get chills when I notice things like this, and I can't wait to see how He will use these gifts, talents, and interests in my daughter's adult life. Very cool indeed!

That is great! Our daughter plays the piano and wants to learn violin too, but we want her to go a little more before adding the other.

I pray it went well! I wish I could have heard her play. Someday! I took piano when I was young for 5 years, then gave it up. Now that I am an adult, I regret quitting, and I wish I would have stuck with it. How wonderful for Ashley to be looking into voice lessons. Miranda said she listened to her play guitar and sing on fb and that she was very good! What a blessing to have musical children, Heidi!
