Partly Hodgepodge with a Chance of Snow ~ Vol. 19

1. Sunday was the first day of spring. So they say. Ahem. What is your favorite outdoor springtime activity?

It’s hard to narrow it down to just one, as I love spring so much better than winter!  I really like going to the local greenhouse and buying colorful flowers to plant outside – I love seeing all the colors in the flowerbeds in the springtime (it adds to much “life” to the appearance of our house).

2. Who would you want to come into your kitchen to cook dinner for you?

My Aunt Judy, as long as she makes her famous apple pie for dessert!

3. When did you last fly a kite?

Ummm . . . probably when I was a kid.

4. What topic puts you to sleep faster than anything?

Finances (with politics running a very close 2nd).

5. Which flowers do you associate with specific people, places, or events?

I’m not a real “flowery” person.  But, I’m starting to associate lilacs with my friend Sue.  I was gifted with a lilac bush to plant in her memory.  It’s the only thing in my yard that is showing any signs of green yet.  I’m so anxious to see it produce some real lilacs!

6. What significant historical events took place during your elementary school days?

Ronald Reagan became president when I was in 5th grade.  I remember having a mock election that year.

7. Do you swear? Do you pseudo-swear? (You know crap, shoot, friggin'?)

I don’t make a habit of it, and I’m actually offended by swearing; but I’m not going to say that I NEVER say a bad word.  Occasionally, I might.  And, yes, I do say things like “crap” sometimes.  LOL

8. Insert your own random thought here.

We woke up to snow on the ground, and it’s been rainy and yucky all morning.  Gracie has violin lessons, which means I need to take my new (and very clean) van out in this yuck.  Kinda makes me sad!

Ashley’s so cute --- she asked if we can all go to violin today (she and Ian usually stay home) because she wants to sit in the passenger seat in the  van.  My kids are so easy to please!  Wonder if that has something to do with homeschooling?  LOL
