Anyway, back to Ian ...
I was just amazing at this child! When they were going over the Bible memory verses with his class (3,4, and 5 year olds - and he just turned 3 in April), he KNEW a good bit of it! I didn't even know what the verse was, having not been there on Monday, so I certainly didn't work with him. The verses are Habakkuk 3:17-19a. I thought I'd share them. The parts that Ian knows are bolded. (I'll try to get a video to share this week sometime.)
17 Though the fig tree does not bud
and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails
and the fields produce no food,
though there are no sheep in the pen
and no cattle in the stalls,
18 yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
I will be joyful in God my Savior.
19 The Sovereign Lord is my strength;
he makes my feet like the feet of a deer,
he enables me to go on the heights.
and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails
and the fields produce no food,
though there are no sheep in the pen
and no cattle in the stalls,
18 yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
I will be joyful in God my Savior.
19 The Sovereign Lord is my strength;
he makes my feet like the feet of a deer,
he enables me to go on the heights.
