3 months have passed . . .

. . . since Sue left us to go to heaven.  Here is my Facebook status from today:

"In the end, it's not the years in your life that matter, but the life in your years." ~Abe Lincoln . . . thinking of Sue today on this, the 3-month anniversary of her passing. I can't stop missing her.

While in Florida and visiting with my dear new friends, they gifted me with a nice surprise:

Sue 008

Thank you Wendy & Becky! I must confess, I left it in the van up until yesterday. I love it, and I’m touched beyond measure with friends who care so much. But, I guess, it just hurts to look at it.

I did bring it in yesterday, though, and sat it with a new floral arrangement I recently purchased.

Sue 009

Now, this morning, I went in search of a new rug for my living room (I ended up ordering a braided rag rug) and found a little plaque with the above saying – so I purchased it and placed it with this grouping.

One thing can be said about Sue – she surely lived her life to the fullest! May we all strive to do the same --- because we just never know which day may be our last.

Tell someone you love them today!

Heidi, I should have made sure you knew that the picture was from all of your friends at TGR--not just Becky and me. The evening we gave it to you was so chaotic (but fun!) that I didn't do a good job of explaining that to you! I'm so glad that you can find some joy in it even if it is a little bit hard for you to look at. It wouldn't have bothered me if it had taken you a year to get it out! It is my prayer that you will eventually be able to enjoy the picture and your memories of Sue without the sadness that you feel right now. All of your TGR friends love you!! The picture looks beautiful, too, the way you have it displayed on your table. Blessings to you, My Friend.

Heidi, my bestfriend from high school died in 1985. It has been nearly 25 years, and I still miss her. Her birthday was June 2nd, so this was a week to think about her and all the good times we had together. I'm so sorry for your loss, and am praying that God will comfort your heart today.
