What My Child is Reading (June 26th)

I was away all weekend, so didn’t have a chance to post my kids’ reading from this week.  So, I’m back-dating this post. :)

Ashley’s not home today to share what she’s been reading and, since we’re on a break from school right now, I’m not so on top of her reading!  So, I’ll post her books next week.

Gracie and I finished up book 2 in the Terrestria Chronicles – The Quest for the Seven Castles – and are getting ready to start on book 3 – The Search for Everyman.  She loves these books!  She has also been reading some of The Saddle Club books to herself at bedtime.

Ian’s favorites this week have been books from my childhood.  He still continues to want to hear Miss SuzyStand Back Said the Elephant I’m Going to Sneeze every night, but we’ve also read and Christina Katerina and the Box.

I’ve finished up some books (reviews either posted or coming soon) and am proud to say that I started (and finished) The Magician’s Nephew by C.S. Lewis.  Would you believe I’ve never read The Chronicles of Narnia?  I’m accepting a challenge to read through some of them this summer, though.  So, we’ll see how far I get.

I read through the Chronicles of Narnia series a couple years ago...I loved them! I can't wait to read them again with my kiddos :)

Thanks for joining WMCIR! It sounds like you had a great reading week. It's pretty neat that you can share the books of your childhood with your children. I also just read first two Chronicles of Narnia a couple of years ago, but I admit that I didn't finish them - I guess I missed my "sensitive period". I hope my daughter reads them when she is younger.
