Narnia Reading Challenge

chronicles-of-narnia Carrie from Reading to Know is hosting a Narnia Reading Challenge during the month of July.  If you’re a Narnia fan addict, then you’ll very much enjoy this challenge.  Or, maybe you’re like me and have never read through the Narnia series (because, well, let’s face it – I’m just not much of a fantasy fan).  But, maybe you’re intrigued and would like to read at least 1 book from the series (or maybe 2 or 3).  Anyway, whatever your Narnia affiliation, head on over to Carrie’s blog and find out how you can enter the challenge this month.

Oh, and for the record --- I started the challenge early and actually read The Magician’s Nephew last week.  Now, I’m certainly not trying to toot my own horn; but I’m pretty proud that I actually made it through the whole book.  Now, I’ve got The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe laying on my nightstand.

Disclaimer: with starting the Bible in 90 Days reading challenge on the 5th of this month, I’m not certain how much other reading I’m going to be able to get done; but I’ll try!

Hey! I'm proud of you for trying. Don't think of them as fantasy so much as a magical adventure. And remember - Disney made the movies. ;D That has to count for something, right?

I'm so glad you are going to give it a try! AND I AM impressed you've already read The Magician's Nephew. ;D I finished reading Voyage already. One time through anyway. Hoping to make it through one more time before the month is out.

we have been doing a ton of traveling this past month (translation: car time!) and have been listening to books on cd. So far we have listened to Heidi, The Swiss Family Robinson, The Red Badge of Courage, The Cricket in Times Square and we have one left for our trip home (Little Lord Fauntleroy) I say all of that to say they have the Narnia series on cd. I may just have to check that out. We also have the books so we can read them too. =0)

I've read EVERY Narnia book at least 10 times over... Probably more, when I pick them up I tend to read the entire series over 3 or 4 days haha.
