Today I’m thankful for my parents. 15 years ago, I never thought I would say this, but I’m very glad that they live right down the street from us. We see, or talk to them, on a daily basis, and they have a close, meaningful relationship with our children. I grew up very close to my paternal grandparents, so I’m thankful that my kids have the opportunity to share that closeness with my Mom & Dad.
I can’t imagine not having my parents close by. So, in the event of a move – ever (see yesterday’s post) – I’m just planning to take my parents along. :)
