May Day Wednesday Hodgepodge ~ Vol. 25

1. Have you ever been served breakfast in bed? Do you enjoy that? If someone were serving you breakfast in bed this coming weekend what would you hope to see on the tray?

I’ve never been served breakfast in bed.  I’m not sure I’d really want to be – somehow the thought just doesn’t appeal to me.  But, if someone were to want to serve me breakfast in bed, I think I’d want bacon (!) and maybe some yummy pastry and some fresh berries.

2. What is one piece of advice you would give a new mother?

Kids grow up way too fast – enjoy them while they’re little.  And WRITE THINGS DOWN (you think you’ll remember, but you won’t!)  I guess that’s 2 – oh well.

3. When was the last time you wanted to scream? Explain.

I believe that was yesterday!  LOL  Some days I really wish I lived out in the middle of nowhere so I could!

4. Can you hula hoop?

Well, I could “back in the day” – I even did it on my legs, arms, and neck at one time.  I haven’t tried it in quite some time though.  I think I’m probably too fat for hula hooping these days.

5. What is something people do in traffic that really bothers you?

Roll down their windows and blast loud music.  Hello?!  Chances are, I probably don’t want to listen to the same thing YOU are listening to, people!  Have some courtesy!

It also really bugs me when it’s obvious that taking turns would cut back on the traffic situation, yet people are so rude that they refuse to do so!

6. What do you do when people don't admit they're wrong?

Get frustrated with them!

7. What is the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the word 'fun'?

Sunshine!  And, after that, Disney!

8. Insert your own random thought here.

I have approximately 21 hours left here at home before Ashley and I need to head to Baltimore  and hop a plane bound for Atlanta!  If you’re a homeschooler and you’re attending the GHEA convention this weekend, be sure to stop by The Old Schoolhouse® Magazine booth and say “hi”.

I enjoyed reading your answers Heidi. I was brought breakfast in bed yesterday purely because I couldn't get out - I'm recovering from a nasty bug. Much better today - can actually stand up!
Wishing you a sfae journey to Atlanda. Enjoy the convention.

I agree with #2. I wish I would have written more when our daughter was little. I don't know why I thought I would remember all the details.

Yay Disney!

Have fun in Atlanta. Just drove through there today and will be back through there on Friday.

I don't think I've ever had breakfast in bed either. I don't particularly like the idea of crumbs on my bedsheets! :P If someone were going to cook breakfast for me, though, I'd love hash browns, scrambled eggs, toast with homemade strawberry jelly, bacon, and maybe some fruit. Mmmm.....I'm making myself hungry!

I so agree with the loud music in cars! The other day we were stopped at a light and the car in front of us had music so loud (booming bass) that it was hurting MY ears. I can't imagine what it's doing to their hearing when they're sitting in the same car with that noise! It's definitely a driving hazard, too. And for some reason, it's never Christian or classical or easy listening music they're blasting. ;0)
