1oo days . . .

A few weeks ago, I posted about Counting Down to Disney over at Your Highway in the Sky.  At the time, we had 120 days to go.  Today, we’re at 100! In some ways, 100 seems like a lot – but, I know that (especially with the holidays, etc.) those 100 days will go very quickly!  My friend Beth over at Pursuing the Magic has been working a series of posts that she calls “100 Things to Do in Disney”. 

I’ve been enjoying reading Beth’s countdown. Yesterday, the kids and I sat down and started making a 100 List of our own.  Our list contains things we can’t wait to do (again), things we are excited to try for the first time, foods and meals we are looking forward to, etc.  It’s things that we are all looking forward to – or maybe just one of us is!  I doubt if I’ll remember to post daily; but we’ll see.

#100 – This isn’t really “Disney”; but it’s something we look forward to and do on each and every trip to Walt Disney World.  Once we cross the border into Florida, we stop at the Florida Welcome Center and sample some orange juice (sometimes I opt for the grapefruit juice instead).   

Something about hitting that welcome center just really makes us feel like we’re “home” – almost at our can’t-wait-to-get-there destination.  We enjoy getting out of the van, walking around a bit, using the restroom, and sampling that juice.  From there, we always have that last little needed bit of energy to get us the rest of the way!
