I’m ready for more Hoop Dee Doo! How about YOU?

Welcome to those of you joining me from Disney Donna Kay and those of you just hopping aboard. I am the final stop on our Magical Blogorail.  I’m hopping aboard the RED blogorail line this month, as we share our favorite LIVE resort entertainment.

One thing that I love about Disney is that the fun isn’t just inside the parks – it’s everywhere!  I love visiting Downtown Disney and checking out all the shops and restaurants and watching the various live entertainment that is often on site there.  And another great place to enjoy live entertainment is the resort hotels.

We’ve often had opportunity to sit in the lobby at the Grand Floridian and listen to the pianist tickling the ivories on that awesome grand piano.  It takes up residence right in the center of the reception area and the music is mesmerizing!  At various times throughout the day, there is also a live band that plays from the 2nd floor balcony.

Brian and I ventured down to the lobby at Port Orleans Riverside last year to listen to Bob Jackson (otherwise known as Yehaa Bob) entertain. If he doesn’t rope you in and have you singing and dancing along, there’s something wrong with you!  Just sayin’!

But, the live entertainment that we, as a family, have most enjoyed is the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue at Fort Wilderness Campground.

Not only is this show-stopping, heel-tapping, hand-clapping, audience-participating fun – it also comes with a delicious meal, served to you by entertaining Cast Members who make the experience all the more enjoyable!

030 We snapped a few pictures of the cornbread and salad (both of which were totally delicious). But, once they started serving the main course, we were so busy chowing down that we forgot all about our cameras!

The main attraction here is most definitely the entertainment though! We laughed A LOT!  And we all said “we absolutely have to do this again sometime!”  And, I’ve recommended it to everyone that I’ve talked to about Disney.

FYI: If you’re on the Disney Dining Plan, this particular dinner show will take 2 Table Service Credits.  Trust me when I saw that you won’t regret using 2 of your credits here!

Here’s a video (not the best quality) that we took during our visit:

What is YOUR favorite LIVE resort entertainment?  I’d love to hear about it.  Please leave me a comment and tell me about it!

You must add it to your TO DO list for a future trip! It's a lot of fun. Even the waiters and waitresses get in on the fun. :)

Love the food... love the entertainment... love Fort Wilderness. Our last trip we attended Hoop Dee Doo for just our second time, but we had one granddaughter (5 years old) who just had a rip-roaring great time. Our last visit to this attraction was with her Mom!
