Did you know? Sure, everyone loves Mickey Mouse now, but exactly who was he originally?! “According to Walt Disney, the idea for Mickey Mouse came to him while traveling on a train from New York back to California. He had just lost his rights to Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and he came up with the idea for the mouse. He originally called him Mortimer, but his wife, Lillian, convinced him to change it to Mickey Mouse because it sounded cuter.”
And I, for one, am so glad she did! We love Mickey! In fact, he is one of my family’s top priorities when visiting the Disney parks. Gotta meet Mickey!
