Today I’m extremely thankful for all the opportunities that have been afforded to my family this past year. We had various unpleasant things to deal with this year, so having some fun stuff mixed in was a real blessing.
We had several opportunities for travel (Cincinnati, Florida, and Williamsburg) – all under the guise of “work”. The homeschool conventions were a blast and a great chance for me to get to meet people that I wouldn’t have otherwise gotten to meet – both Crew members and vendors!
Ashley has had extra travel opportunities this year – going to Colorado the other week to visit her best buddy, Kylie and leaving today to spend the week in Charlotte, North Carolina, packing shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. (Prayers for her fun and safety this week are very much appreciated.)
I’m not sure what 2011 will hold for our family, but 2010 has definitely had plenty enough good mixed with the bad to outweigh it. :) For that, I am thankful.

It is always gratifying to remember how God has blessed us. Even when we face uncomfortable or painful situations, God is always there showering His blessings down, too, isn't He? :)
I'm so glad your family has been blessed this way. It does help to have some good mixed in, doesn't it? I'll definitely keep your daughter in my prayers until you have her home safely again.
