Christmas Idea #3 – Circle C Books

I’ve  bragged up the Circle C Adventure series by my friend Susan Marlow many, many times.  I brag about these books because they are THAT GOOD!  Susan has written a series of books with a heroin – Andi Carter – who is a great role model for young girls and boys alike.  If you’ve got children in the 8-14 age range and they have not yet been introduced to Andi Carter, I can only ask – WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?

SFS_cover_193 You can learn more about each individual book by clicking here.  For reasons that are pretty obvious (if you’ve known me for long), our personal favorite book in the series is San Francisco Smugglers; but they are all great!  Though each book will work fine as a stand-alone, it’s so much more fun to read them as a whole series!

Homeschool parents will be especially appreciative of the FREE downloadable enrichment guides that are available for each book.  These guides include vocabulary, discussion questions, geography, and much more.  By using these guides as a starting point, you can actually use each book as a unit study in your homeschool.  A Journey Through Learning has created lapbooking kits to go along with each of the books as well.

EXCITING NEWS!!! Younger readers (ages 6-8) can get in on the Circle C Adventure fun now as well.  Recently released from Kregel Publications – the first 2 books in the new Circle C Beginnings Series!

Pony_Trouble_150 BOOK 1: Andi wants a horse of her own more than anything in the world, but her mother says she's too young. Stuck with riding Coco, the hand-me-down pony, Andi sets out to show her family that she's ready for a horse.

4182 cover idea.indd BOOK 2: Andi's friend Riley shows her a scary old dime novel that sets Andi's mind spinning with thoughts of being captured by Indians. But when she and Riley ride a little too far from the safety of the ranch, Andi discovers the truth about the natives living nearby.

Let me tell you – these books are PRECIOUS!  Not only do they introduce you to a young Andi Carter, but they are full of the same adventure and fun that you have come to expect from Circle C books.  And, they contain ADORABLE black and white illustrations that your little ones will just love.

You homeschool parents won’t be disappointed --- the illustrations are available as free coloring pages on the Circle C website.  Activity Packs are also available and include educational, yet fun, worksheets for the little ones.  Lapbook kits are available for this series as well.

If you are looking for good-quality books for your children to read – books with a Christian message and with a role model that is worthy of kids’ affection – look no further than the Circle C Adventures!  I recommend reading them aloud – as parents will love them too!
