Kimberly-Clark and Scott Introduce . . . (GIVEAWAY!)

Scott Naturals
Tube-Free Bath Tissue!

packaging photo

I almost included this post as part of my series of Christmas gift ideas.  I know that may sound ludicrous; but, believe it or not, I’ve actually purchased toilet paper for one of my brothers for Christmas in the past!  Sad, but true!  And, the more I sit and think about it, I think toilet paper would be a great gift!  Around here, we stock up on toilet paper – but I know several people (my friend Sue would have been the biggest offender) who wait until they’re on their last roll (or beyond) before going for more!

We’ve been long-time Scott tissue users in our home.  I remember one time – many years ago – when my oldest daughter Ashley (now 17) was just a tiny little thing.  My mom took her grocery shopping and they were standing in the toilet paper aisle while my mom contemplated what to purchase.  Ashley boldly told her that she should buy Scott – it’s the best bargain!  My mom’s been using it ever since as well!  Out of the mouths of babes . . .

So, when the opportunity presented itself for me to receive a sample of Scott’s newest toilet tissue product, I went for it!  Who ever heard of a tube-free roll?  But, I get so sick of throwing all of them away.  Do you have any idea how many of those cardboard tubes your family throws away each year?  According to the Scott Website, U.S. households throw about 17 billion bath tissue tubes every year!  That’s enough to:

  • Fill the Empire State Building – TWICE!
  • Circle the Earth – 46 TIMES!
  • Take 2.4 trips to the moon and back!
  • fill more than 250 Boeing 747 airliners!
  • cover the Independence Mall in Philadelphia over 1,300 times!

We’ve been using the tube-free rolls in our home for about a week now.  The first roll somehow got wrapped VERY tightly around the toilet paper holder (which is a wrought iron style); but I have a feeling my youngest child may have had something to do with it.  Since that, the rolls have been working just fine.  I love the fact that when one roll is finished, you can start on the next one; and you have nothing to throw away.

Scott Naturals Tube-Free is sold exclusively at select Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club stores in the northeast United States. Check out your nearest retailer here and the Scott-Naturals Tube-Free website to learn more.

GIVEAWAY!!!  Scott Naturals has provided 3 12-packs of their Tube-Free bath tissue for me to give away to 3 lucky readers!  If you would like to win, please leave a comment below.  I’ll draw 3 random winners next Friday, December 10th, at noon (EST).  Good luck!

For 3 additional entries (be sure to leave 3 separate comments), post about this  giveaway on your blog or FB, with a link back to this post.

And for 1 extra entry, leave me a comment telling me if you’ll keep the bath tissue if you win – or is there someone on your Christmas gift list who might benefit from it?!

NOTE: I received a free 12-pack of Scott Naturals Tube-Free bath tissue to use and review. I was not compensated in any other way, and the thoughts shared in this post are entirely my own.

With 6 people in the house (okay, 5 if you don't count the toddler!), we go through our fair share of TP. So, winning this would be fantastic. Besides, we'd get to use something before it hits the stores out here :o)

extra entry ~ I'd SO keep it for myself to help stretch the grocery budget a little!

If I won, I would give it away. I am only allowed to buy certain brands of TP in my house, and unfortunately Scott is not one of them, LOL! I grew up with Scott though!
