Uglies

Awhile back, I downloaded the Betty Crocker app for my iPod.  It’s a free app and is well worth downloading.  I found a lot of new recipes on there that I’d like to try – we’ve already tried some of them and really enjoyed them.

Yesterday, while making a store list for this week’s groceries, I decided to look for more recipe apps.  One that I downloaded was the free version of Allrecipes’ Dinner Spinner. This app is really fun because you can just shake it for a random recipe, or you can be more specific in your search.  I found a recipe on there called Uglies that sounded fun.  So, yesterday, we bought the ingredients and Ashley and I made them for supper last night.

The name doesn’t sound too appealing, which made my gang turn up their noses.  But, it was a hit with everyone, and we’ll definitely add it to our menu again in the future.  Super easy to make, and yummy!

If you like trying new recipes, I found the online version of Uglies here.  (It’s the exact same recipe we used.)  Let me know if you try them.

I saw those on a blog a year or so ago. My family loves them but we renamed them. We call them "potholes." ;-) Seem appropriate for where we live.

Oh & we only use mozzarella cheese and do half of them with pizza sauce. ;-)

We have that AllRecipes Dinner Spinner on our iPad but have only played with it. Have to check out that recipe you made. I've never heard of Uglies.
