1. National Read a Road Map Day falls on April 5th. Would people say you have a good sense of direction? Do you rely on a GPS when you drive somewhere new? When was the last time you used a map?
Yes, I definitely have a good sense of direction. Once I’ve been somewhere once, I can usually find my way back there again. We’ve used Mapquest and Microsoft Streets software in the past, along with plenty of Triptiks from AAA; but we’re not really big “map people”. We bought Brian a GPS for Christmas last year, and now we depend on it to get us where we need to go. He loves “her” and she drives me nuts!
2. What's your favorite cookbook?
I LOVE cookbooks! I have a TON of them and have favorite recipes in each one, so it’s pretty hard to choose just one as a favorite. If I had to choose just one, hmmm . . . I just don’t know. I have a “blank” cookbook that we write favorites in – I might pick that one.
3. What painting would you like to 'walk into' and experience? Why?
I’m not much of an artsy person, so I can’t think of any painting that I’d like to walk into right now.
4. What annoys you more-misspellings or mispronunciations?
Both. Mispronunciations drive me insane, but I also pick up on misspellings when I’m reading and I find them annoying. Where are the editors these days?!
5. What is something your mother or father considered important?
Living a Christian life. Also, my dad was very big at having a budget and sticking to it!
6. Do you like or dislike schedules?
I like the “idea” of schedules, but I don’t always like sticking to them. We have a very basic schedule around here, but we’re really not strict schedule people at all. I never had my kids on schedules because I wanted them to be flexible. LOL
7. Let's have some fun with National Poetry Month (that would be April)...write your own ending to this poem-"Roses are red, Violets are blue...."
Roses are Red
Violets are Blue
I love my blog
And I hope you do too!
If you'd like to read the history behind that little ditty you'll find it here.
8. Insert your own random thought here.
We were looking at the calendar last night and realized that we have something – BIG – on the calendar for every day between May 13th and May 30th, with the exception of Monday, May 16th – which will probably be our designated “packing day” for our trip to Florida. Heaven help me! I’m really going to need a week at the beach in June to recover from it all!

Living on a budget...what a great lesson!!!! Your parents were very wise!
I love the blank cookbook idea, and somehow, I knew you'd agree with me on the misspelling topic, LOL. Of course I love your blog - and you too! :)
Learning to live on a budget is a skill...I pray we've instilled that in our own children too. So far so good : )
Blank cookbook - cool idea.
