Did you know that in 40 days it will be the official anniversary of the opening of Walt Disney World in Florida in 1971? 40 years ago something very special happened – something I didn’t have opportunity to take part in until sixteen years later – but, once I did, I was hooked!
Donna from DISTherapy has teamed up with Beth from Pursuing the Magic (who also happens to be the brains behind the Magical Blogorail) to create a series of very special posts leading up to the 40th anniversary of Walt Disney World. They have put together a team of Disney bloggers and/or Disney lovers to help write this series of posts (you will find my posts on 1977 and 1988, and Ashley is writing the post for 2005).

Wow, I didn't know Disney World opened a month before I was born.
Oops, did I say that aloud? Am I really the same age as Disney World? {chuckle}
