#95 – This past May, when we were making plans to head down to Orlando for the FPEA Homeschool Convention, we realized that we had enough points built up on our Disney Visa to go a few days early and spend some time on Disney property – FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER! Because we are a family of 5, resort choices are limited. We went through a travel agent for the first time, and she suggested Port Orleans Riverside. This was a resort that we’d never even seen (despite our new love for visiting the resorts). So, we took her word for it and booked 3 nights there.
We loved it! Though we spent 3 days in the parks on that trip, I think we would have been just as happy to hang out at the resort and take advantage of the many amenities that are available. We’re very much looking forward to going back to Port Orleans Riverside on our next trip (in 95 days!) It’s so beautiful there – we enjoyed just taking a leisurely stroll around the property to take pictures.

We did some of Bridgette's school photos last year at Port Orleans Riverside...it is still pretty that time of year, but not quite as flowery as in May.
On our trip in 2009 we actually stayed here and did stuff around the resort. It was so much fun and very relaxing.
I live here and never heard of the Port Orleans resort...looks pretty!
I love Port Orleans Riverside, too! I must admit (showing age, now...) that I remember it as Dixie Landings. Oh, yes! That was a while back...
Did you go see Yehaa Bob when you were there last? If not, I hope you get to on this next trip!
I have always wanted to stay there. Unfortuneately this is where owning DVC hurts you. We cannot figure out a way to justify the stay. : (
