Bet the title got your attention, didn’t it? You think you’re going to come over here and see pictures of hot dogs, right? Well, I could show you a picture of the time I rode the Oscar Meyer Weiner to work; but I digress . . .
Here is what a weenie is, according to Debs:
It's what Walt Disney and his Imagineers called the iconic structures or focal points in each of the parks and lands. They are big enough to be seen from a distance and interesting enough to draw you closer for a better look. Examples would be Spaceship Earth, Space Mountain, Big Thunder, The Sorcerer's Hat, The Tree of Life and all the wonderful castles to name a few.
OK, one of the most inconvenient things about having to get a new computer is that you don’t have immediate access to all your pictures; and I’m too lazy to open my old laptop right now. So, here are a few Photopass photos from our trip earlier this year:
We all adore Epcot and walking in from the parking lot with the “giant ball” looming in the distance, but getting closer and closer!
Yep, that’s just pretty magical!
Not the best picture in front of the Sorcerer Hat at Hollywood Studios.
But, the truth is, it’s not my favorite Disney icon.
In fact, I liked it better when it wasn’t there.
While not the park icon, you can see it from miles around -
and it’s my favorite weenie at Hollywood Studios.
I LOVE this attraction!
The Tree of Life barely shows up on this picture,
but you get the idea.
While I’m not so fond of the attraction,
Everest is surely considered a weenie, right?
We were glad that, on our last day at the Magic Kingdom,
the lovely crane had been removed from the castle!
(Why, oh why, do we always seem to vacation when they are working on it?!)

I am with you on the Socerer's Hat. Not a huge fan of it in that particular location.
Of course Everest is a weenie! It completely fits the description - a large structure/focal point designed to draw you deeper into the park!
Great family pics. I love your matching shirts.
What great shots of the family, the Hollywood picture almost looks like he is wearing the hat :) Not our favorite either. Thanks for sharing!
Love your family shots! I couldn't agree more, the hat is ghastly! EE is most definitely a Disney Weenie! You can see it from a distance and it does draw you in--not me to ride it but most people;) Thanks so much for sharing and for joining in on the blog hop fun:)
Great PhotoPass memories captured on your trip :) Of course, I have to mention that I love, love, love your shirts.
Well all of you look great even if you can't see some of the icons. :)
Proves that the PhotoPass photographers LOVE the weenies too! (And your matching tees are spectacular :D)
Great photos - we need to stop more and let the Disney photographers do their thing so that we have some family shots in front of the weenies! So what's your secret for getting the whole family to wear matching t-shirts? - I'm pretty sure that I'd have a rebellion on my hands if I even suggested it. :)
Thank you so much! We had a TON of fun making them. :)
Thanks, Didi! :)
I just told my family that I wanted us to have matching shirts and they were all fine with it. LOL Easy, peasy!
Great photos... I LOVE how you all dress alike, that is just too cute.
I did that with my boys when they were little and my hubs and I will dress similar, but I totally ADORE your outfits!! =)
I know what you mean about new computers, or switching from laptop to desktop to iPad... UGH!
I have almost all my photos on flash drives now so that whatever I am working on (sans iPad) I can use whatever photo I want... provided I can find it on the 4 flash drives. It sounded like a good idea at the time. =\
Thanks, Lorie.
I guess I need to buy some flash drives and do that. That would help a little, at least.
Great memories! Love the outfits! :)
